Simply put, Babygirl asks the question: What happens when your committed relationship gets in the way of your desire for someone new? Nicole Kidman stars as Romy, a ceo of a tech giant in New York city. Her entire world is shifted when we meet Samuel, played by Harris Dickinson, a young intern at the company. Throughout the film we see Romy struggle with being in love with her husband and have fun with Samuel. I also really liked how director Halina Reijn played with the idea of power dynamics and how they dictate not only Romy's relationship with Samuel, but how Romy struggles with wanting to be controlled by Samuel even though she's so used to being in a position of power at seemingly all times. Special shout to Antonio Banderas and Sophie Wilde. They both had smaller but very pivotal roles and they both had really good performances.
