Thunderbolts is EASILY the best MCU movie of phase 5 and is arguably top 10 all time MCU films and I'm not joking. Ironically, this to me was simply a movie about something. A lot of the mcu as of late has been caught up in all the crazy action, easter egg hunts, and nostalgia bait, and they often times forget to really make a movie. Thunderbolts is the exact opposite. This movie blisters with heart, emotional stakes, and a central theme that flowed perfectly throughout the 2-hour runtime. The cast for this did an excellent job, but it was Florence Pugh once again proving that she's a force to be reckoned with and had what I think is one of the better performances in an MCU movie in a really long time. The direction and writing were equally sharp and had some genuinely funny moments. David Harbour is great in this as well and you can tell he had a ball making this. Thunderbolts also had a pretty baller post credit scene that perfectly sets the table for the future. All in all, Thunderbolts quickly went from a slept on movie that I had low expectations for, to becoming arguably a top 10 MCU movie. This one is must see.
