They Will Kill You was absolutely insane. My hopes were high for this movie based off the trailer, but I had no clue just how much I would love this. Initially, I thought it would lean more towards Ready or Not, but this film clearly is much more Tarantino and Raimi inspired. This is easily the best action movie I've seen all year. With slick direction and a pretty straight forward story, the real bread and butter of They Will Kill You is the batshit crazy action, comedy, and incredible lead performance from Zazie Beetz. In the first 10 minutes, director Kirill Sokolov brilliantly places you right into his blood-soaked romp that promises some of the best action beats you will ever see. With beautiful anime inspired blood shed, a banging soundtrack, and a really good supporting cast, They Will Kill You is the type of original filmmaking that is needed, and was a blast to watch in theaters.
