When I saw the trailer for this I was expecting a Rambo style action thriller. I was pleasantly surprised at the swerve, and this being a more illuminating look into a corrupt police system and how that corruption doesn't just stop with the police. Aaron Pierre came out swinging in what I believe is a star making performance. I also really enjoyed the editing in this film, which was done by Jeremy Saulnier, who did a hell of job directing as well. Rebel Ridge is the most saturday at 8 o'clock on TNT movie I've seen and I say that in the best way possible. This was a great time with a star making performance from Pierre that everyone should watch.
