Nosferatu was everything I wanted and so much more. Director and writer Robert Eggers brings his unique horror flair that I love to perfectly adapt this classic tale. From the Gothic set design, costumes, and incredible performances by the cast, I loved everything about this take on the story. Nicholas Hoult continues his big year and ends it on an extremely high note. I also really enjoyed Lily Rose-Depp's performance and I think she has a good case for award consideration. Her performance was not only dynamic and harrowing, but unexpected as I did not know she had this in her. It goes without saying, but Bill Skarsgard killed it as Nosferatu. The way he completely transforms for these roles that require heavy prosthetics always amazes me. Willem Dafoe, like Skarsgard, kills it as expected. It's always a treat seeing him and Eggers team up on these films. Nosferatu was high on my list of films to see this year, and it did not disappoint.
