Novocaine was a really fun time. This was a throwback action comedy with a fresh spin, that was blistering with heart. Jack Quaid is endlessly funny in this film about a guy that can't physically feel pain. Even with that, we soon discover that he can indeed feel in other ways. Amber Midthunder is also really good in this. The chemistry between her and Jack was felt throughout the entire runtime. I also thought the action was expertly done, incorporating main character Nate Caine's condition in a genius way. With a charismatic lead villain in Ray Nicholson, a cleverly written script, a really good twist, and a strong third act, Novocaine was the perfect movie to watch this spring season.
