I didn't know what to expect going into this, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed A Complete Unknown. Not knowing that this was based on a novel actually elevated the film for me. Bob's transition from an up and comer to a household name was expertly directed and co-written by James Mangold. I also thought the angle they took having Bob essentially discover then rediscover himself throughout the film gives the title a double meaning. Timothée Chalamet knocked it out of the park and ends the year with another banger after Dune 2. Elle Fanning was also really good in this. I personally have not seen her in much stuff lately, so I was glad to see her in this and she killed it. I definitely would recommend seeing this one in a theater if you can.
